“Pompano Beach” is a hand cut and pasted collage composed of images from vintage books and magazines (used under fair use principles).
Blending vintage imagery with environmental history, Pompano Beach reflects on the environmental cost of reckless land development in Florida’s Big Cypress region in the late 70’s. This piece is a remembrance and a quiet call to action, honoring what is lost and what still can be protected. Juxtaposing consumer culture with ecological degradation, this collage serves as both art and warning.
